Data Sharing
- We DON'T sell your data. Period.
- We DON'T share your recipes or customer lists with anyone.
- We DO use trusted service providers (hosting, payment processing, email, analytics)
- We WILL share data if required by law (court orders, etc.)
- If we're acquired, your data transfers to the new owner (you'll be notified)
Third-Party Services

Data Retention
- Active accounts: we keep your data as long as you use Butterbase
- Deleted accounts: data is permanently deleted within 30 days
- Legal requirements: some data may be retained longer if required by law
- Backups: deleted data is purged from backups within 90 days
Children's Privacy
- Butterbase is not intended for users under 18
- We don't knowingly collect data from minors
- If we discover underage users, accounts will be deleted
Changes to This Policy
- We may update this policy as we add features or comply with new regulations
- You'll be notified of significant changes via email
- Continued use after changes means you accept the new policy
