Billing & plans

Free runs the craft side of your bakery forever. Pro adds the money-making tools. Here's exactly where the line sits and how the billing works.

Free vs Pro

Free is the full craft toolset, free forever: recipes and costing, the inventory ledger, production, and your dashboard — no caps, no card.

Pro ($29/mo) adds selling: orders & fulfillment, invoicing & payments, kiosk + Tap to Pay, wholesale price tiers, clients, and team members & roles.

Upgrading

The bakery Owner upgrades from Settings → Plan & billing in the web app — checkout runs through Stripe, and the plan flips the moment it completes. Plan changes happen on the web; the mobile app reflects them automatically.

Managing your subscription

Payment method, invoices from Stripe, cancelling, resubscribing — all of it lives in the billing portal, one click from Plan & billing. If you cancel, your bakery drops back to Free at the end of the period and keeps every recipe, movement, and record.

If a payment fails

Your plan shows Past due and Butterbase asks you to fix the payment method in the billing portal to keep Pro. Sort the card out and the subscription recovers on its own.

Trials

If your plan shows Pro — trial, you have full Pro during the trial window; the plan card shows the days remaining and the date it converts.
